SAN DIEGO─ Most of Jeb Bush’s foreign policy advisors are the same pundits his brother relied upon to formulate American diplomacy. With the wisdom of hindsight, we now know they should just be called cons rather than neo-cons.

Benjamin Netanyahu has appointed Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan as the head of the Israeli civilian administration of the West Bank. Ben-Dahan gained notoriety by once referring to Palestinians as “animals.” Ben-Dahan’s appointment is the equivalent to President Obama selecting Pam Geller as the White House liaison to the Muslim community.

Rabbi Barry Freundel has been sentenced to six years of prison for secretly videotaping female congregants while they undressed before immersing themselves in a mikveh. As part of his punishment, he must remain naked in the shower room during all the times his fellow prisoners are taking their showers.

House Republicans voted to cut Amtrak’s budget by 20 % the day before the deadly derailment of an Amtrak train heading from Philadelphia to New York. One suspects their ulterior motive is the knowledge that Vice-President Biden commutes daily on Amtrak to his home in Delaware.

The Internet is nearing its level of peak capacity with current storage technology. While many in Silicon Valley are developing new technology to expand storage, others have recommended that the NSA merely delete all photos and videos of people’s children, pets, restaurant meals, and special occasions.
