Council woman Barbara Bry to address CBI Men’s Club

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Beth Israel’s Men’s Club has scheduled San Diego Councilmember Barbara Bry as guest speaker at the 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 17 Dinner Forum where she will discuss “Keeping San Diego Safe, Clean, and Prosperous”.

Councilmember Bry was elected to the City Council in 2016 and represents San Diego District 1 that includes the communities of Carmel Valley, Del Mar Heights, Del Mar Mesa, La Jolla, Pacific Highlands Ranch, Torrey Hills, Torrey Pines, and University City.

As a new Councilmember, Barbara Bry holds office hours and community coffees in her district frequently. Some of her key priorities include working toward the responsible selection of a new police chief, advancing the goals of San Diego’s Climate Action Plan, and expanding the innovation economy.

Councilmember Bry is also a high-tech entrepreneur and community leader who worked her way through college and grad school, earning a Master’s Degree in Business from Harvard. She was also on the founding team of several local high-tech companies, including ProFlowers.com, which has created hundreds of local jobs.
