SAN DIEGO — Author and columnist Edwin Black, whose work appears regularly on San Diego Jewish World, is embarking on a multi-city lecture tour outlining Israel’s history from ancient times to the present. The tour begins March 19 and March 20th respectively at Rambam Mesivta High School in Lawrence, N.Y.,  and  the Manhattan East Synagogue in New York City, and continues with stops elsewhere in New York state, Michigan, Texas, Washington, D.C., Israel, California, and Missouri.

Black is the author of IBM and the Holocaust, which was a best-seller on the New York Times list.  Rather than using a power point or slides in this lecture, Black clicks live onto 80 different websites to demonstrate how anyone can utilize the Internet.

“The history projected onto the screen delves deep and brings numerous threads together in a way that will change the very fabric of understanding most people have for the Jewish State and its place in the geo-political world,” Black says.  “Even the experts will learn. I myself am constantly updating the visuals.”

Black previously has delivered the presentation on university campuses and synagogues across America, but has freshly updated it “to include the latest developments on Jerusalem recognition and Palestinian finance, as well as the significance of Israel at 70.”

Here are the dates for 12 venues of Black’s tour.  San Diego Jewish World happily will forward to Black any requests for other lecture dates.
