News companies agree to 3-month trial trading

Donald H. Harrison
Daniel Ajzen

SAN DIEGO (SDJW) – Agreement was reached Tuesday, April 3, between San Diego Jewish World and WorldMediaNetworks for a trial three-month period for the trade of news content.

Under the agreement, signed by principals Donald H. Harrison of San Diego Jewish World and Daniel Ajzen of WorldMediaNetworks, specified bylined articles that appear on San Diego Jewish World may be used with full attribution in the various publications of WorldMediaNetworks and vice versa.

Harrison and Ajzen celebrated their Memorandum of Understanding at a local Starbucks coffee house, where in honor of the occasion Harrison has a chai latte.  He explained that he likes the double meaning of “chai,” meaning “tea” in various Asian languages and “life” in Hebrew.

On-line English-language blogs published or administered by WorldMediaNetworks include Israel Behind the News; Medical Daily Journal, MexAMPAC, Save the Music; SPME, Jewish Web Sight, and Christian Daily Journal, the latter being primarily Jewish news for Christian readers.  WorldMediaNetworks also  owns or operates 11 Spanish-language sites.

The principals agreed that after reviewing how well the two organizations work together in the three-month trial period, the principals would discuss in what other ways closer cooperation might be mutually beneficial.
