Here Are Ways to Help India During its COVID Crisis

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — The Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego has compiled a vetted list of organizations providing aid and support to the victims of the growing Covid-19 crisis in India.

“Recently, India recorded the world’s highest daily tally of nearly 315,000 Covid-19 infections,” the Foundation noted.  “Millions are struggling to survive due to the lockdown and unable to secure or provide food and basic essentials to their families. There is a critical shortage of oxygen, hospital beds, and other vital medical supplies needed to treat all of the Covid-19 patients.

“The additional current concern is that a prolonged outbreak in India could possibly lead to the emergence of new variants and obstruct the global vaccination progress.

Here are a few organizations providing aid and support.
