LA Jewish Young Professionals Go ‘Back to Camp’ to Ignite Ideas, Inspire Curiosity, Build Connections

LOS ANGELES (Press Release) — Young Jewish leaders from across Los Angeles joined together May 12 for an experiential, day-long, camp-style gathering hosted by Trybal Gatherings designed to ignite professionals with new ideas, inspire curiosity, and build connections. Supported by the generosity of the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles and in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp, LA Day Camp enriched the field with impactful, camp-inspired learning experiences.

“This unique, experiential professional development opportunity helps Jewish professionals recharge purposefully with colleagues in a playful environment,” said Julie Platt, incoming Chair of Jewish Federations of North America. “I’m especially thrilled that more than 60 Federation professionals had some fun and strengthened their team. ‘Day Camp’ is an experience that other Federations around the country can consider bringing to their community. After two years with little in-person interaction, people are craving these camp activities that build camaraderie and connections!”

Held at Camp Bob Waldorf, a Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters camp in Glendale, California, Trybal Gatherings excitedly welcomed both individual professionals and teams of colleagues from more than 30 local organizations.  Throughout the year, Trybal Gatherings provides day and multi-day Jewish camp experiences for young adults and professionals across the country. Nearly 500 professionals in LA have experienced the magic of Trybal at previous camps, with activities like silent disco, Israeli dancing, bubble soccer, kombucha brewing, and much more.
