ENCINITAS, California (Press Release)  — Seacrest Foundation’s Women’s Auxiliary has announced the 46th Annual Together Wherever In Spirit Gala & Online Auction, a stay-at-home but stay connected event. For this year’s gala, our Jewish community will come together in spirit as one connected family as we send love to the residents of Seacrest
Village.

All proceeds from the Together Wherever In Spirit Gala & Online Auction will support the Seacrest Village Resident Assistance Fund which provides charitable care for residents in need. These critical funds will provide housing, healthcare, and supportive services to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the residents. Seacrest Villlage asks is supporters to honor the residents by sending a generous gift, which will provide peace and
security to those who need a safe place to call home.

Mary Epsten, President of Seacrest Foundation’s Women’s Auxiliary, stated “For over 45 years, the San Diego community has turned out in impressive numbers to help raise funds to give hope to seniors who are desperately in need of housing, comfort and support. Approximately $2.5 million in charitable care is required each year. It is critical to support Seacrest’s mission of providing services to seniors in a Jewish environment that promotes
community, independence, and innovation. This year, we won’t be physically gathering, but instead we will gather all the love in our hearts to support our parents, grandparents, friends, and members of our community so they may have a safe, secure, and loving Jewish home.”

Sponsorships and philanthropic opportunities will be announced in May 2024. A generous family has offered to match all funds raised for the Together Wherever In Spirit Gala & Online Auction, up to $250,000. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law and
each donation will make twice the impact on the lives of seniors in need.

Gifts associated with certain sponsorship levels will be hand-delivered to make your “at home” evening special, and gifts at all levels will be recognized on Seacrest Foundation’s website, in newsletters and social media, and Seacrest Foundation’s Happenings magazine. Gifts confirmed by June 15 will be recognized in San Diego Jewish Journal.

An important online auction will be open to everyone, everywhere from July 22 to July 26, 2024. Participation in the online auction provides supporters a chance to acquire highly sought-after items while simultaneously deepening their impact on the critical work of Seacrest Foundation.

The Together Wherever In Spirit Gala & Online Auction is driven by Co-Chairs, Linda & Wayne Otchis. Wayne, our Seacrest Foundation Board President, stated, “This year, while we take a night off in the comfort of our own homes, we ask you to consider the elderly members of our community who face financial crisis. Your support will help them stay safely in the comfort of their home at Seacrest Village, surrounded by friends who feel like family. I want to extend my gratitude in advance for your support of those who came before us.”
