Taking Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Advice

While strolling through North Park the other day, I saw a quote from Ruth Bader Ginsburg posted outside Saigon Coffee on the corner of 30th and Lincoln. I thought it would be nice if everyone thought this way. Accept people for their differences, cultures, views and just be good to each other. [Cailin Acosta]

A Short History of Jewish Self-Hatred

The author of the term “new antisemitism” is the American historian and publicist Daniel Pipes. The core of this new antisemitism lies in the idea that Jews are not a historically oppressed people seeking self-preservation, but oppressors: imperialists, colonizers, white exploiters. Antisemitism does not disappear, but only changes forms. Auto-antisemitism, that is, Jew-hatred of Jews, is a much older phenomenon than the new antisemitism described, but it doesn’t disappear either, it just changes forms.   [Alex Gordon]

Iran is to Blame for Mideast Turmoil and for Fostering Anti-Semitism

The mullah’s hatred of Israel is due to their perverted view of their religion that they feel mandates anti-Semitism. Therefore, they will not relent until they are gone, or Israel is gone, G-d forbid! We see, thanks to the Abraham Accords, that peace with the Muslim world is possible for Israel and fruitful for everyone. Clearly then, it is specifically the anti-Semitism of the mullahs fueled by their fanatical hatred that is the cause of the instability and suffering of the war and of the deaths in Israel, in Lebanon, and in Gaza. Women Artists, Survivors, and Victims who Fought the Nazis

Graphic artist Trina Robbins, who died earlier this year, was saluted by Comic-Con panel members who recalled Robbins’ salute to Lilly Renée, another woman pioneer in the comic book industry.  Both Jewish women had a hand in World War II comic book stories in which the evil Nazis were given their comeuppance.

OpEd: How NOT to Fight Antisemitism

A veteran pro-Israel organization which spent $14.5 million to oust U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman in the June 25 Democratic primary displayed excessive wealth and power. Bowman, who is widely viewed as anti-Israel, probably would have lost without the expenditure of $14.5 million to educate voters in New York’s 16th congressional district of his failings. [Bruce S.
