Nicole Bernstein new StandWithUs director in S.D.

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Nicole Bernstein has been appointed as the StandWithUs San Diego Regional Director.

Bernstein brings with her 14 years of  leadership experience in executive management, communications and marketing roles in the corporate and start-up worlds, and spent 10 of those years living and working in Israel after she made aliyah in the summer of 2001.

With Hebrew fluency at the mother tongue level (thanks to both her parents being originally from Israel), Bernstein was heavily involved in local community work while living and working in Tel Aviv from 2001 to 2011, helping other olim assimilate and settle into their new lives.

During her time in Israel, Nicole ran and managed an “English Speaking Jobs In Israel” blog, promoted local community and networking events for Anglos and Israelis, organized road trips for olim around Israel, and volunteered at weekend social activities that encouraged new immigrant immersion into Israeli life, culture and society to help ensure that their aliyah experience was positive and long-lasting.

In 2007, the company that Nicole co-founded, Ping Mobile, was cited in her award as the Springboard Enterprises Women’s Entrepreneur and was named one of the “Top 10 Women-Led Companies in Israel”.

On a more personal note, she met and married her husband, a fellow oleh originally from San Diego, in Tel Aviv; and is extremely proud that that both their son and their bulldog are native-born Israelis.

Bernstein’s enthusiasm, passion, dedication and love for Israel are in her words: “literally part of my DNA!”
