Humoring the headlines: July 21, 2017

SAN DIEGO−After witnessing the protracted handshake Trump gave Macron at the G-20 summit, leaders of the other member nations are preparing for the next meeting by purchasing joy buzzers.

President Trump claims that he sat next to Vladimir Putin at the G-20 dinner to talk about adoption.  It is unclear whether Trump offered to adopt Putin or vice versa.

There have been reports that President Trump has asked his lawyers to explore whether presidents legally can pardon themselves.  This shouldn’t worry anyone since Trump would never admit that he did something wrong in the first place.

Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies have threatened to continue their sanctions against Qatar if it doesn’t close down Al Jazeera for broadcasting news that destabilizes their governments. No wonder Donald Trump feels such an affinity towards the Saudis.

Comic Con is holding its annual conference in San Diego this weekend.  Attendance appears to be down out of fears that ICE agents will be monitoring anyone at the conference who is dressed up as an alien.
