Rally against hate Tuesday evening at the JCC

SAN DIEGO  (SDJW)– In reaction to the recent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, the Jewish Federation of San Diego County joins with the Anti-Defamation League, San Diego Rabbinical Association, Liechtag Foundation, and other Jewish communal organizations to sponsor an anti-hate rally at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15 at the Lawrence Family JCC.

Flyers sent by email announcing the rally proclaim “Our San Diego Jewish Community Stands Up Against Hate.”

The announcement continues: “Let’s raise our voices as Jews and allies against White Supremacists, Neo-Nazis, and all forms of hate and extremism.  Let your voice be heard and reaffirm that our society is No Place for Hate.

Attendees are advised to come by 6:30 p.m. in order to have time to pass through security and to leave non-essential items at home.
