Commentary: What Germany couldn’t do militarily, it now does economically

LONDON –I find myself in a euphoric state of mind, and am proud to be British perhaps for the first time since Margaret Thatcher’s premiership.  So that’s 21 years  to wait, but at long last we have a Prime Minister willing to stand up for Britain’s best interests.  David Cameron, the British Prime Minister, has said “NO” to attempts by the Germans and French to browbeat us into accepting their  vision of “Europe”.

When Margaret Thatcher said “NO” in 1990, she was overthrown by what many regard as a coup by the “European Establishment.” David Cameron now faces a similar threat . Let us not forget that  Berlusconi, the Italian Prime Minister for very many years, was recently overthrown by what many consider to be a German-led coup, and the Greek Prime Minister also.

Nevertheless, if David Cameron can survive, and not be overthrown or forced to back down, then  Britain has a real chance of  starting to unravel its dependence on the meshugana Euro currency and Euro state.

Like many Brits, I enjoy reading books on the Second World War such as those by Max Hastings or Gordon Corrigan.  They teach us many lessons.  Britain held out against the Germans for years, until Russia and USA were able to turn the tide against the Nazi regime.

Germany again dominates Europe, and Britain remains alone yet again.  France will hang on to Germany’s coat tails, as it did in the Second World War.  Despite a commonly held myth that France was on the Allied side, the fact is that France was an ally of Germany for much of the War, once her forces collapsed in the early weeks of the German invasion. Britain and USA found that the French forces in North Africa , Central Africa, and Indochina fought ardently against the Allies. Moshe Dayan famously lost an eye fighting the French in Syria, for the British Army.  The Free French under de Gaulle were an insignificant force, and the vast majority of French forces, evacuated by the British at Dunkirk, very soon voluntarily left to go back to German-dominated France.

So the Second World War is being re-enacted in a 21st Century Form, ie economic and propaganda warfare, rather then military warfare.  Many people however do believe that the German led Euro state will lead to military conflict at some stage, when subject peoples realise they have lost their hard won independence and democracy.

My views are controversial, but what is clear, is that Jews of all persuasions cannot be happy with a situation whereby Germany dominates Europe.  We were exterminated in Europe by the Germans,  within living memory.  Angela Merkel may be a benign “frau” now, but who knows who will succeed her as German ruler in a few years time. We should all be concerned.
