NORTH HAVEN, Connecticut (Press Release)– U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) stopped by a Target store here, and bought his favorite  candy to commend Target Corporation on its recent decision to  adopt a no-guns policy prohibiting customers from carrying guns in its stores, including stores in states with open-carry laws.

“Today, I shopped at Target because it’s doing the right thing on guns,” Blumenthal said. “Target knows that allowing customers to carry guns in  its stores is not consistent with providing parents and their children with a safe and secure place to shop. I applaud Target’s decision to change its  gun policy – a decision that reflects growing public support for gun safety across the country. Customers are no safer when they carry guns into  Target, or any other store or restaurant.”

  1. Least we forget the Nazi’s disarmed the people in the name of protecting the people, and why, “Never forget”, can remind us that, “Had the Jews been armed, the holocast would have never happened.”?

The bad guys will always find a way, guns or not, to defeat their target. So what is the message of TARGET stores? Does their advertizing a no gun policy actually make them believe it will prevent what happened at a WALMART store two weeks ago, as a neo nazi couple sprayed bullets, killing innocent shoppersm ending with one partner killing the other and then themselves?

The fact is, the public has no clue when a good guy is carrying, so why disarm the good guys with laws and policies that punish good people in the name of stopping bad people, because we know it won’t?
