United Hatzalah of Israel issued this statement on May 10:
United Hatzalah volunteer EMS personnel from the Jerusalem branch treated two women who were stabbed in their upper bodies on Daniel Yanovsky street which is located near the Armon Hanatziv promenade in Jeusalem on Tuesday morning. The women were treated and transferred to hospital by ambulance services and at the time were fully conscious.
Circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
Shimon Bar, a United Hatzalah volunteer medic who was among the first responders at the scene said: “I approached the injured persons on the promenade on foot carrying my medical kit, after we were told that the injured women were deep into the promenade and not approachable by car. When I arrived at the scene I treated two women who suffered stab wounds to their upper bodies. After they were treated at the scene, they were transferred to Shaarei Tzedek hospital by emergency ambulance services.”
