SAN DIEGO — Melanie Rubin is the license plate maven, frequently spotting plates of Jewish interest. She is so enthusiastic about this that some of her friends have followed suit.
One friend, who eschews publicity, spotted this one with “Metukah,” the Hebrew word for “sweet.”
It’s possible “sweet” refers to the car, or to the driver, or in some instances, “Metukah” is used as a person’s name in Israel.
