Comedy Central Panel Brings Together Creators of ‘South Park,’ ‘Beavis and Butthead’ and ‘Digman!’

If the lineup felt like a Mount Rushmore of misbehavior, the vibe onstage was more comedy writers’ room than walk of fame. Women Artists, Survivors, and Victims who Fought the Nazis

Graphic artist Trina Robbins, who died earlier this year, was saluted by Comic-Con panel members who recalled Robbins’ salute to Lilly Renée, another woman pioneer in the comic book industry.  Both Jewish women had a hand in World War II comic book stories in which the evil Nazis were given their comeuppance.

Comic-Con 2023 Panels Indicate Bleak Entertainment Future

With writers and actors on strike and prohibited by SAG/AFTRA and WGA from promoting upcoming productions, this year’s Comic-Con was without many  people who normally would have participated on panels.  What was left at times seemed slapdash and makeshift, leaving most attendees wanting more, a harbinger of the content-cold year that the strikes will mean for fans around the world.
