WOOF, a Zoom-like platform for dogs

It has been a long time since I’ve written one of my columns. Since my owners stay at home every day, I haven’t had many moments to gather my thoughts and dictate them to Laurie. He frequently drags me in front of his computer to show me off to his family and friends on ZOOM calls. The last time this happened it dawned on me that dogs should have a platform for communicating with each other during the pandemic too. [Laurie Baron for his dog Elona]

Satire: Operation Warped Mind

I can just imagine …

Executive Order # (I’ve lost count) The people of America worship me for beating Covid19 with Operation Warp Speed  guaranteeing the production in the near future of effective vaccines with only 250,000 dead. Jared tells that statistic is bupkes. Although I don’t know what this has to do with the former football coach of the Chicago Bears, I believe him. Besides, I’m a billionaire who doesn’t take increments in the hundreds of thousands seriously…. [Laurie Baron, Ph.D]

‘Mostly Mishegas’ Satirizes Trump’s Jewish Knowledge

The idea that Donald J. (“John,” not “Jewish”) Trump would even consider converting to Judaism is, on its face, outrageous. Then again, Joel H. (“Hugh,” not “Hebrew”) Cohen, has plenty of outrageous thoughts about the 45th president of the United States and has, in the past, humorously and unapologetically expressed them in these pages of the San Diego Jewish World in his column, “Just Kidding.” [Bruce F. Lowitt]
